How it Works
|
Habitat for Humanity of Gunnison Valley, aided by community volunteers, builds houses with, and then sells them to, people who otherwise could not afford them. Because Habitat offers interest-free mortgages, and the homes are built primarily with volunteer labor, mortgage payments are affordable for low-income families. Mortgage payments received by Habitat help us to fund the building of more homes.
We accomplish our goals by means of:
- Community Volunteers
- Support from Habitat for Humanity of Colorado
- Fundraising Efforts
- Grant Applications
- Donations, Monetary and Materials
- Support from the Gunnison Valley Building Community
